The following foundations were established to accept donations on behalf of the State Library of Louisiana to be used for its programs.
The Louisiana Library and Book Festival Foundation was established in 1989 as a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization with the goal of promoting literature, literacy and programming at the State Library of Louisiana. It is a primary sponsor of the Louisiana Book Festival and supports public programming at the State Library throughout the year. After the storms of 2005, the LLBFF accepted donations on behalf of public libraries that were impacted by the storms. Donations will be expended on services benefiting all citizens through services of the State Library of Louisiana.
