Homework Louisiana Our online tutoring platform at HomeworkLA.org provides no-cost access to personalized tutoring and drop-off review services, test prep and self-paced resources, and more. All tutors are rigorously vetted subject matter experts and are available every day from 10 a.m. to 12 midnight so learners of all ages and stages can get help anywhere, anytime, from any internet-connected device. Spanish and Vietnamese language options are also available as an aid to ELL students. |

Louisiana Readers' Choice This reading enrichment program gives students at all grade levels the opportunity to vote for their favorite book as a statewide Readers’ Choice Award honoree. With over half a million votes cast and 1.6 million books read since the program’s inception, Louisiana Readers’ Choice has connected generations of students with great books and fostered a love of reading. Materials to promote participation are available to all school libraries. |

Literacy & Learning Lab Located in the State Library building, the Literacy & Learning Lab is a dynamic space offering hands-on and technology-based learning activities that engage young students with reading. Throughout the school year, we are happy to supplement any planned field trips to downtown Baton Rouge, providing tours and supporting skills development from library science and research to Louisiana history and more. Louisiana Book Festival Presented by the Louisiana Center for the Book in the State Library, the state’s flagship literary event is scheduled every fall in downtown Baton Rouge. Programs for young readers will take place throughout the day in the State Library and Young Readers Pavilion, which includes our activities tent, storytelling tent, writing enrichment tent and face painting tent. Teens also have the opportunity to hear presentations and discussions led by young adult authors on their latest works, pick up writing tips, and enjoy fun crafts and activities. |

Talking Books & Braille Library Free, specialized services are available to students of all ages who are visually impaired, have learning disabilities, or are unable to handle traditional books. TBBL provides access to more than 164,000 audio and braille books, 25,000 large-print books, and playback machines. Individuals as well as schools can apply for these free services. |
